Milestones

Political Science was officially opened with two concentrations—International Relations and Public Policy—which remain its academic backbone today.
Early outbound mobility began with a formal exchange route, providing students with cross-border academic exposure.
Launched as a signature forum inviting ambassadors and diplomats to campus for real-case discussions and interactive exchanges with students.
The program first achieved an “A” accreditation in 2018, later reaffirmed with the 2023 decree.
In partnership with UNDP, Bakrie University initiated student engagement activities around the SDGs, laying the groundwork for the IYSDGS series.
Launched as a signature forum inviting ambassadors and diplomats to campus for real-case discussions and interactive exchanges with students.
A dedicated space on Bakrie Tower’s 40th floor was launched as a venue for international conference simulations. The facility is also used for diplomatic role-plays and academic exchanges, becoming a signature hub for Political Science student.
The 2023 edition confirmed the summit as an annual youth forum, supported by the Bakrie Group ecosystem and international partners.
By decree No. 5149/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/XII/2023, the Political Science program maintained its “A” accreditation, valid until December 2028.
Held at GoetheHaus Jakarta, the third IYSDGS gathered more than 250 participants for youth-action sessions on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The program hosted the high-level forum “Indonesia’s Accession to BRICS” at Bakrie Tower Auditorium, bringing together international partners for dialogue on global governance.
